Bodacious means:
In CB radio jargon, a general word of praise
A variety of iris (and I have bearded ones in my front yard. Purple.)
Extremely cool, most excellent, "that is bodacious!"
Now, mind your manners. I did not mean any reference to a Rubenesque beauty.
Please check out Jenn's blog, which she included in a comment after my last post. I think you will learn a lot about her "extremely cool" experiences--with which, by the way, you have much in common--and find that she is a sophisticated person of the world (who LIKES New York).
In Mike's post, he mentions that he might use our wonderfully philosophical media concepts for another class. See? Bodacious, indeed.

That is an awesome word that is perfect for really expressing something in written communication, especially on the Internet.
